Perks Of Travelling Solo!
“I travel because it makes me realize how much I haven’t seen, how much I’m not going to see, and how much I still need to see.” – Carew Papritz

Some people enjoy being on their own and some love the presence of their friends or family when they go for a vacation. But when it comes to travelling, which one are you? Is it a good thing or a bad thing if you love travelling alone? Did you just answer “Depends on where we’re going lah?” Aha! #1 You enjoy your ALONE time
Enjoying our ME-time is the best thing we can ever ask for. We deserve to wander on our own. Don’t let anyone tell us it’s too dangerous to travel on our own. Especially for female travellers. I knowww, I knowwww, I feel you. It’s a dangerous world out there - yes trueeee, but that’s life. So all we just need to take extra precaution and do a little research ahead of time. Be sure to map out areas to avoid and look at the local culture for tips so nothing goes wrong.

“Until you value yourself, you will not value your time. Until you value your time, you will not do anything with it.” — M. Scott Peck

#2 You make NEW FRIENDS
Pen-pals! More pen-pals! Making NEW FRIENDS is a MUST! That’s the purpose of travelling in the first place, right? Be it local or international friends, when you travel to another country, don’t miss the opportunity to mingle with them. Making friends around the world makes you a true wanderer. After all, there’s nothing to lose if you make new friends.

#3 You are FREE to go wherever you want
They said when we travel on our own it’s going to be a boring journey. But hey! Look at the bright side, when we choose to wander the world all by ourselves, we are not caught up with other people’s timing. Feel free to go wherever and whenever you want! Coping with people’s timing is tiring, yap! Really tiring. Especially when we travel in a group. It’s not completely bad per se, but our time management has to be really good. Remember guys, every minute counts!

#4 You have TIME to reflect on your life
The reason why most of us NEED to travel alone is to give ourselves some time to reflect on our life. Everyone needs to have their own space. Ehem! We even need our own space to sleep in. Speaking of reflecting, when you start travelling alone, we tend to open our eyes and soul to greater things ahead. The fact that we are exposed to larger things in life made us who we will be in the future.

”It is always our own self that we find at the end of the journey. The sooner we face that self, the better.” – Ella Maillart
