We love a transparent airline.
If you’re a frequent flyer and have travelled all over the world with AirAsia, you’d know that the carrier charges a processing fee at the end of your ticket purchase.
The processing fee ranges from RM4 to RM16, depending on your method of payment, and can be seen as an additional cost to travellers.
Well soon, you’ll no longer have to pay for any processing fees because AirAsia group CEO Tony Fernandes has announced that the low cost carrier will be removing the fees permanently effective October this year.
The announcement was made via his Twitter account where he tweeted: “I’m pleased to announce that @Airasia is removing processing fee from October. We still still have some charges to drive traffic to cheaper, safer and less fraudless methods. But there will be methods with no fees. No more process #technologyrules #makingairfaresaffordable”
Previously, only AirAsia customers who use the airline’s BigPay card enjoy zero processing fees.
Now, not only everyone can fly, everyone can also save on processing fees.
Thanks AirAsia, so when’s the next free seats sale?
