Malaysian University Won Three Golds At International Choir Competition
This might sound a bit suprising, but Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) can really sing!

The proof?
 
The university’s choir team won three gold medals at the 7th Copernicus International Choir Competition and Festival in Torun, Poland in Torun, Poland.
 
According to a report by Astro Awani, the university’s UiTM Chamber Choir (UCC) team brought home two golds in the Mixed Choir and Folklore category respectively, while its UiTM Women’s Chorale (UCS) team won another gold for Female Choir.
 
UCC also won the Special Audience Prize and Grand Prix of All Volunteers Awards.


The international choir competition, which took place from 29 June to 3 July, saw the participation of 52 choir groups. The top 12 groups were eligible for the final.
 
Among the countries that competed in the finals include Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Philippines, Indonesia and South Africa.
