Fired By Company, Woman Takes Revenge By Going On Shopping Spree With Boss' Credit Card
What would you do if you are fired from work?

Do we hear ‘wallow in self-pity and down a tub of ice cream'? Well, that’s what we ordinary people would do.

However, this woman from Bangkok made her boss pay for firing her - literally.

Paid, he did.
According to a report in The Star Online, Thamolwan Konthong, 32, allegedly stole her former boss’ credit card and splurged more than RM799,848 to live a life of luxury for more than a year.

The woman was arrested after her former company filed a complaint with the Economic Crime Suppression Division and reported that a company credit card had been stolen.

The woman's boss, who happens to be the owner of the company, only realised in early May that the credit card had been missing since late 2017.

During that time, company accountants thought the boss was using the card, so they continued paying the bills to the issuer, Kasikorn Bank.

The credit card bill revealed that Thamolwan visited a gold shop in Samut Prakan more than 50 times, spending between RM13,330 to RM26,661 at a time on gold ornaments and bars.

She also used the card for stays at luxury hotels, first-class travel on domestic and international flights and to buy smartphones, gadgets, luxury-brand bags and clothes.

Was it worth it in the end, though? We have a feeling Ms Thamolwan regrets nothing.
