If you think the holy month of Ramadan is the only time to do good deeds, think again.

It is not too late for you to put a smile on somebody else’s face, especially if that somebody has been working hard while all of us enjoyed our Hari Raya Aidilfitri break.

Recently, a Twitter user by the name of @amin_jameam urged the public to appreciate workers such as toll collectors, security guards and even baristas who didn’t get a day off for Hari Raya.

How do you show your appreciation? By giving them some ‘duit raya’.

He set a perfect example by sharing a video on Twitter in which he handed some ‘duit raya’ to a barista after ordering his drinks. The 10-second video showed the surprised and happy face of the barista upon receiving the unexpected gift.
 
Using #DuitRayaMovement, he started the positive campaign urging others to share their videos or photos of them spreading the joy of giving ‘duit raya’ to the hardworking group.

In fact, good-hearted Netizens picked up the campaign and they, too, decided to share some love:
 
Meanwhile, the video Amin posted has so far garnered more than 400,000 views and 16,00 shares, with many passing on the good deed to McDonald drive-through and Baskin Robbin staff.

Well, no matter how much you enjoy receiving ‘duit raya’, giving some away and seeing the smiles on other people's faces will definitely make you warm and fuzzy inside.
