Recently, we shared the news that our Paralympians Ridzuan Puzi and Abdul Latif Romly performed very well at 2018 Asian Para Games in Jakarta. Both athletes managed to not only bag gold medals in their respective events but also broke two world records collectively. You can read about it here.

On Thursday, Ridzuan outdone himself once again – he won the gold medal in the men’s long jump T36 event and also set a new Asian and games record with 5.49m according to the New Straits Times.

The previous Asian record was set by Yang Yi Fei with 5.43m while Ridzuan himself broke the games record which he set previously at 5.42m.

Prior to the long jump event the wonder athlete managed to snag another gold medal in the 400m T36 event.

Fellow Paralympic gold medalist and world record holder Ziyad Zolkefli also won gold medal and set a new games record in shot put men’s event F20 with 16.94m.

We managed to secure a 1-2 placing thanks to para athlete Mohamad Aliff who placed second in the same event with 13.09m.

Speaking of records, team Malaysia also emerged victorious after Muhammad Nur Syaiful Zulkafli won the men’s 50m freestyle S5 with a new games record of 34.09s. He broke the previous record of 35.54s.

And in bowling, we created history when Rizal Hassan became the first ever person in the tournament history to reach a Perfect Score (all strikes).
