Former Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak has reportedly been arrested, according to local news website The Malaysian Insight.

The news site reported that the 64-year-old was picked up by officers from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) at his Langgak Duta mansion at around 3pm on Tuesday.
According to another report by Free Malaysia Today, the arrest was confirmed by a source from the anti-graft body.

A reporter from Channel News Asia tweeted that the Najib would very likely be charged tomorrow: The arrest came after the police released a full list of items seized from residences linked to the former Prime Minister, said to be valued at more than RM1.1 billion.

Najib could be charged for money laundering and misappropriation of property, but an official statement has yet to be released.
