Wait, Is Dato' Siti Nurhaliza Joining The Council of Eminent Persons?

Could the Council of Eminent Persons be adding a bona fide superstar to their ranks?

Malaysia's pop darling Dato' Siti Nurhaliza has sparked rumours of her becoming a member of the Council after she was spotted at one of its meetings on Thursday.

According to The New Straits Times, the 39-year-old singer was summoned to the meeting held at the Ilham Tower in Kuala Lumpur, but it was not to introduce her as a new member of the Council.

She told the daily that she was there to discuss the possible formation of a National Arts Council.

However, she did not reveal any details about the meeting, but she did say that "the discussions went on a positive note and they (the council) had listened intently."

She also did not reveal what role the National Arts Council would play, but it would be for the "betterment of the industry".

Does that mean we will see less of films like 'Badang'?
Malaysia's very own Jedi Council.
The Council of Eminent Persons was put together by Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad after Pakatan Harapan's historic win at the 14th General Election.

The members of this council are made up of economic and financial experts who will be advising the government on matters related to the economy and other national issues.
The experts include Tun Daim Zainuddin, Tan Sri Zeti Akhtar Aziz, Tan Sri Hassan Merican, Professor Jomo Kwame Sundram, and Tan Sri Robert Kuok.

Hey, maybe Dato' Siti could compose an official song for the Council?
