Two of the victims are still in critical condition. As for the rest, one is currently stable and another sustained minor injury. One more is seriously injured in the leg and had to have his legs amputated on the site in order to save his life. The 23-year-old worker from Pakistan found himself trapped when the bridge collapsed. A fellow construction worker said he was driving a forklift when the tragedy occurred. He tried to escape but couldn’t make it out on time. When the structure gave way, his legs were pinned under the rubble and in between the wreckage of the forklift.

"The number of casualties is still being determined. The team is unable to provide further details as investigations are ongoing. We deeply regret the incident and will update in due course," the company said in a statement.
