Remember when Korean smartphone maker Samsung revealed their revolutionary folding smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Fold, earlier this year?
Sure, it did cause quite a big stir, especially when the devices started breaking
, but it still remains one of the most highly anticipated smartphones of 2019.
And guess what? You can actually buy one right now.
Local smartphone retailer Mobile2Go has made the Samsung Galaxy Fold available for purchase - and you may need to sell more than your liver to be able to afford it.
That's because in order to get your hands on the folding flagship smartphone, you will need to pay an eye-watering RM13,888
, considering that it's an import set.
The 512GB iPhone 11 Max Pro doesn't sound very expensive now, right?
For that price, you will get the device (of course), a free protective case
, a set of Samsung earbuds
At the moment, the Samsung Galaxy Fold only comes in black and the 4G LTE version.
The Galaxy Fold boasts a 4.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED display
on the cover. When you unfold the phone, it stretches out to a 7.3-inch QXGA+ Infinity Flex display
It is powered by a Snapdragon 855 processor
with 12GB of RAM
and 512GB of storage
, and a 4,380mAh (4G version)
or 4,235mAh (5G version)
As for the cameras, the Galaxy Fold boasts a SIX cameras: a 16MP ultra-wide camera

and a 12MP telephoto camera

The specs and features do sound impressive, but if you think RM13,888 is too much to pay for a smartphone, here's some good news: Samsung Malaysia has revealed that they will be taking pre-orders for the phone very soon.
There's no news on the official price yet, but according to local tech site SoyaCincau
