If you're an avid reader, you probably had the same struggle as us: a lack of space to put all your books, read or unread.
This is especially true if you refuse to embrace technology (we totally get it 'cos physical books are clearly superior) and hate to part with your favourite ones.
But the pain is less when you know you're giving them away for a good cause.
The Book Effect, a project under non-governmental organisation Friends To Mankind, aims to collect 10,000 books to build libraries for underprivileged children in the Klang Valley, and they need your help to make their plans come true.
The project was launched on Monday (5 August) by YAM Tunku Zain Al-Abidin ibni Tuanku Muhriz, who also expressed his support.
"I understand that in this age of social media, it is that much more difficult to get young people to read. That's why I'm so happy that Friends To Mankind has organised and initiated this project," he said.
Friends To Mankind has already built two libraries at orphanages in Kota Damansara and Rawang, but they are looking to build at least one every month next year.

Its youth ambassador and project lead, Apshy Vimal, said that when her team started the project, they did not know exactly what it'll grow into.
"We had an idea, a pretty simple one - we wanted to raise books and build some libraries. Maybe encourage some people to read along the way.
"But through the last months of meetings and plannings and visiting homes, refugee schools, drug rehab centres, we have come to realise that it's so much more than collecting books and putting them on shelves.
"We're here to share the joy and spread love, through books," she said.
