You’ve probably heard of unique hotels in Malaysia such as tube hotels, container hotels, glasshouse hotels, treehouse hotels, and many more.
But what about a hotel that’s located in something that frequently flies high in the sky?
Soon, you wanderlusters can look forward to Malaysia’s first ever airplane hotel.
Guests can expect to get the money-can-buy experience among the clouds minus the flying (so it’s a plus point if you’re afraid of heights or flying).
The airplane hotel, which will also be the first in Asia, is the brainchild of father and son duo, Young Yeong Long
(61) and Kevin Young Thien Sheng
(30), who are also the owners of Time Capsule Retreat in Sungai Lembing, Pahang.
An actual aircraft was purchased from an airline that sold it because the airplane had exceeded the service period and was about to be disposed of.
This unique accommodation can be found at Sungai Lembing, Pahang and is expected to be completed by 2020.
Kevin told Bernama
that there will be only five rooms to “ensure maximum comfort for guests” and he plans to retain the cockpit area for visitors to “have lasting memories”.
And why in the jungle of all places you ask?
“We placed this aircraft in the jungle area because we want it to blend with the nature concept for visitors to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city,” he said.
Sounds very promising, can’t wait to see it coming to life soon!
