Instant Noodle Variations You Need To Try Before You Die

The weird, the bad, and the tasty.

Instant Noodle Variations You Need To Try Before You Die
Do you know one of the joys in life? It’s being Asian AND being able to express our love towards instant noodles. Instant noodles are a universal and timeless (or timely) food that you could literally eat it anywhere, anytime, without having to spend a bomb on it. Especially for college students, it has been with us from day one, helping us through the hungry late nights, cold weather, and even during the hard times a.k.a the-student-life-financial-crisis. But no matter who we are, our background, and age, we can all agree that we can never say no to a hot, steaming, bowl of instant noodles or a spicy-looking Maggi goreng with telur mata goyang on it. Sometimes, we’d go to great lengths to make our instant noodles look like they’re worthy to be placed in a Michelin-star restaurant. So…how far is your love towards instant noodles? Let’s check out if you've tried these before:

As Malaysians, I’m sure we have a few ‘Masterchefs’ who love to elevate their dish by adding cheese into their Maggi. Some might find it weird; others think it’s like the 8th wonder of the world. Well, it seems that you don’t have to go through all the trouble anymore, as Maggi has introduced a Cheese flavoured variation. But before you cheer in excitement, there’s a sad part to it. It’s only available in the Middle East. Boohoo. Well, it’s not too late to catch the next flight there, you know…

MAMA Green Curry flavour instant noodles

Thai food lovers, rejoice! We finally have a green curry flavoured instant noodle. We know some of you might be sceptical, you’re wondering if it’s as good as the real deal. Well according to this hardcore ramen lover, the broth has a really nice heat to it and exceeded his expectations. He even rated it five our five stars! The good news is, it’s available in Thailand. So your wish of making your dream come true is geographically closer!

Hands up if you’re one of those guys whose still a virgin from this infamous spicy chicken ramen challenge… including us. Yeah, these Samyang noodles are currently all the range around the world, you can search tonnes of videos on Youtube where people eat and give their review of the ramen. Some were downright funny, some we couldn’t help but to feel kesian, and a small latter we were amazed with their tolerance for spice. We wonder if their perut is made of steel. You can easily buy these noodles from your local supermarket but news on the street is, it’s selling like hot cakes so good luck finding one!

Biryani flavoured Maggi

Darn it Maggi, back at it again with the weird flavours.  We know this flavour might raise a few eyebrows, but we can’t help but imagine how the noodles would taste like in real life. Would the spices be enough? Does it smell weird? Are there literally any actual star anises or cloves in it? Guess we’d have to go to the Middle East and find out.

Knorr Pizza Instant Noodles

Who loves pizza? EVERYONE! But if you don’t, we guess you’re missing out a lot in life. Well the pizza lovers at Knorr brought the whole pizza game up (or down depending on how you look at it) a notch by introducing it as an instant noodle flavour. Weird part though, it’s available in Pakistan only considering that pizza is Italian. We sincerely hope it doesn't taste weird or bad, or else it’s going to break the hearts (and taste buds) of pizza lovers across the universe.
