Here's Why You Should Get The Upcoming Disney+ Streaming Service
Today, Disney finally shared more details about its upcoming streaming service, Disney+ and we can foresee a lot of binge-watching sessions coming our way.

Now, when we talk about Disney, it is no longer just the classic animated series or modern day cartoons that only kids watch.

Over the years, the name we grew up loving has grown into a mega company with big titles like Star Wars and Marvel under its wings.

So you can already imagine how having Disney's own streaming service will be like. In other words, no need to sleep lah!

All at your fingertips.
In case you didn't know, Disney+ is a dedicated streaming service for movies and shows from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and more, all coming together in the same place for the first time.

Besides that, the Disney+ app also made its first appearance at the D23 Expo happening in California, which is why we are getting all these amazing Disney news today.

Now, Disney+ will be made available beginning 12 November in the U.S., Canada and The Netherlands, and in other major markets over the following two years.

There is no word yet about when we will be getting this incredible Disney library in Malaysia. In the meantime, let's discuss why we all need Disney+ when it comes out.

Will this beat out other streaming services?

Unlimited access to Disney films and TV series

Disney + will be the exclusive streaming home for movies released by The Walt Disney Studios in 2019 and beyond, including your favourite Marvel films like 'Captain Marvel', 'Avengers: Endgame', as well as 'Aladdin', 'Toy Story 4', 'The Lion King', 'Maleficent: Mistress of Evil', 'Frozen 2', and 'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker'.

Affordable price

In the U.S., Disney+ will be available for a monthly price of USD6.99 or an annual rate of USD69.99. This may vary to countries outside the U.S., but we trust that it should not stray to far from that (let's pray for cheap options for us Malaysians too).

Unlimited downloads

Subscribers will have access to unlimited downloads of shows and movies on the Disney+ app so you can watch offline on up to 10 mobile or tablet devices! In fact, there is no constraint on the number of times you're allowed to download a title per year. Once downloaded, you can watch it on the go even without internet connection.

The best is yet to come.
High quality viewing

Subscribers can enjoy an ultra-high definition viewing experience with up to 4K Ultra HD video playback in Dolby Vision ultra-vivid imaging, HDR10, and Dolby Atmos immersive audio on supported devices. Picture watching 'Avengers: Endgame' on your latest mobile phones and tablets!

No ads

Yes! This is the one thing that annoys us whenever we watch TV, isn't it? Disney+ offers commercial-free viewing, so you can enjoy your favourite shows and movies without having to watch a single commercial.

Have your very own cinema screening at home.
Create up to seven profiles

You read that right. Subscribers get to set up to seven different profiles on one account and the best part is that you can choose an avatar tailored to your favourite Disney, Pixar, Marvel or Star Wars characters. There are over 200 avatars available for you to choose from!

Concurrent streaming

You are allowed to stream video content concurrently on up to four registered devices with no extra chargers. Since your family members may each have different preferences, problem solved here!

Multiple languages

Of course, Disney+ will offer support for English, Spanish, French and Dutch languages, including both user interface as well as audio support and/or subtitles for library content. Disney+ Originals will contain additional languages as well. So if you want to pick up a foreign language, why not start with Disney shows and movies!

Accessibility

As with most streaming services, the Disney+ app also includes captions, descriptive audio, and navigation asssistance to support subscribers with disabilities in order for them to enjoy their favourite stories.

All these and more, coming to viewers beginning 12 November. While the D23 Expo is happening over the weekend, watch this space for more Disney developments because we are really liking what we're seeing now! when it comes out.
