If you grew up in a world of fairy tales where the prince and princess meet, fall in love and live happily ever after, you might have thought that love conquers it all. But, does it really?

While it is easy to find love these days thanks to social media and dating apps, but when it comes to settling down, there’s a lot to think about before we put that ring of commitment around our finger. Not to fret, here are some things to get the ball rolling for you.

This is the most important thing to consider before we make the decision to get hitched. Let’s be real, we want our friends to be green with envy looking at the big diamond ring we have on our finger, or marvel in awe over our luxurious wedding reception, don’t we?

The million-dollar question: Where do we live after marriage? Living with the parents’ is an option BUT we should have another arrangement to move out of our parents’ home and together with our partner. Imagine living with your parents, Netflix and chilling in the living room, cuddling romantically and BAM! Dad walks in…. AWKWARD.
