All’s not well with the Royal family, or at least for the Duchess of Sussex.
According to the Mirror UK
, Meghan Markle’s "extravagant habits" have reportedly not gone down too well with the British population.
Royal biographer Angela Levin told the news portal that just this year alone, the mother of one has already spent AS$550,000 (RM2.3 million)
for her baby shower and an additional AS$5.5 million (RM 23 million)
for house renovations this year.
Wow, that's a lot of money.
Levin, who wrote ‘Harry: Conversations with The Prince’, said her lavish habits was not well received by disgruntled taxpayers.
“The Queen is known to be frugal and some members of the British public have balked at a proportion of their tax going towards what they consider to be frivolity,” she told The Conservative Woman
Levin also said Meghan’s engagement dress is believed to have cost AS$102,000 (RM426,000)
“It is, so I have been told, one of many reasons why all Harry and Meghan’s staff and offices are in the process of moving to Buckingham Palace, where even their newly hired PR director, Sara Latham, a Left-leaning high-powered communications director who has worked for Bill and Hillary Clinton and Tony Blair, will be expected to report to the Queen’s Communications Secretary,” she said.
Reportedly, the couple also owns a farmhouse in Costworld worth AS$4.5 million (RM18.8 million)
where renovation works will also take place soon.
Well, it looks like Markle has a lot to answer for.
