Speaking of tours, on May 15th, the RHCP were scheduled to play at a sold out gig in California. Eager fans waited patiently to rock out to their show but were disappointed when the band was forced to drop out last minute as their lead singer, Anthony Kiedis was rushed to the hospital. The 53 year old front man suffered intestinal flu according to the statement released by the band.

After Kiedis was brought to the hospital, other members of the band went on stage to break the news to fans.

Their drummer, Chad Smith also expressed his disappointment on Twitter following the cancellation.

On Sunday, RHCP have also confirmed that they had to cancel their show scheduled today, 17th May in Burbank as Kiedis is still recovering from his illness. We hope disappointed fans will get to see their idols soon and may Kiedis have a speedy recovery.
