Get Ready to Scream, X-Men is Coming to Your TV Screens
Marvel, X-Men, FOX, X-Men TV Series, X-Men animated series, Professor X
Hear ye, hear ye! Fans of X-Men, you can all now rejoice as FOX and Marvel have something sweet in-store for you! They have announced that the network has made a put pilot commitment for an all new X-Men TV series. This means that in the event that the movie franchise does not make it into a TV series, it will still be aired as a TV special. Now, imagine if it does eventually become a TV series, you can all kiss goodbye to your social life, as you’ll be binge watching the show and catching the reruns of the episodes.

The title of the new series has yet to be announced but at least we have some scoop on the premise of the story. The story will revolve on two ordinary parents who discover that their children possess mutant powers. They eventually make a run from their unwelcoming government and team up with an underground network of mutants and fight in order to survive. This information alone has intrigued our inner mutant senses; we’re already imagining how the battle scenes will go down.

Fans of the franchise may be dying in anticipation especially when it comes to the character line-up. So far no word has been made on the mutants that will be appearing on the show, so our best advice is to keep your fingers crossed. Who knows, your favourite character might make the cut or we’ll eventually be able to see Professor X’s iconic mutant team in action.

The creator of Burn Notice, Matt Nix, will also be on board and act as the executive producer. "Developing a Marvel property has been a top priority for the network, and we are so pleased with how Matt Nix has led us into this thrilling universe,” Fox Broadcasting president of entertainment, David Madden told Variety. “There’s comic book adventure, emotional and complicated relationships and a rich, existing mythology from which to draw. With the brilliant production crew behind this project, it has all the makings of a big, fun and exciting new series.”

This is the first time the X-Men will be turned into a real-life action TV series. Previously, only the animated ones made it to the small screen. Among the list of animated shows were X-Men (1992-1997), X-Men: Evolution (2000-2003), Wolverine and the X-Men (2008-2009), and Marvel Anime (2010-2012).

So, do you have any expectations for the new TV shows? Which characters are you secretly hoping to see? Well, if it was up to us we’d definitely feature Deadpool because…well who wouldn’t want him in it?! Share your thoughts with us in the comment section below.
