Another year, another exciting awards show.

And this year, the MTV European Music Awards 2017 is set to be bigger and better than ever.

Hosted by popular British singer Rita Ora, this year's EMAs will take place at London’s SSE Arena in Wembley on 12 November (Sunday).

The 26-year-old singer, who've collected a total of eight EMAs nominations throughout the year, will also be performing at the show. Yay!

Meet your host!Leading this year's nominations is none other than pop princess Taylor Swift, who nabbed six nods including Best Video for her record-breaking singe “Look What You Made Me Do”.

Canadian singer Shawn Mendes is close behind, scoring five nominations including the Best Artist category, where he'll go head-to-head with Ms. Swift. Rapper Kendrick Lamar and crooner Ed Sheeran both earned four nominations each.

However, this year's edition is a little bit special, because local rock star Faizal Tahir will be representing Malaysia in London, as he scored himself a nomination for the Best Southeast Asia Act Award!

He will be going up against Đàm Vĩnh Hưng (Vietnam), Isyana Sarasvati (Indonesia), James Reid (Philippines), Slot Machine (Thailand), The Sam Willows (Singapore) and
Palitchoke Ayanaputra (Thailand) for the award, so if you really want our local boy to win, you can vote for him here.

As we wait patiently for this year's show to take place, we take a look back at some of the most memorable MTV EMA moments:

#1 Kanye West's major tantrum

Before Kanye embarassed Taylor Swift at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, he threw a major tantrum when he lost the Best Music Video Award to fellow rapper J.U.S.T.I.C.E. In case you're wondering, yes, he did storm the stage to let the world know how he felt about that.

#2 Justin Bieber was crowned the king of the EMA

The singer everyone loves to hate, Justin Bieber, picked up three trophies at last year's MTV EMA. With the trophies in the bag, he became the performer with the most awards won in the history of the EMAs with 20.

#3 Eva Longoria dressed up as a...ham?

You win, Eva!
Move aside, Lady Gaga! The host of the 2010 MTV EMA, Desperate Housewives actress Eva Longoria, stunned the crowd in attendance when she presented an award dressed up as a ham. Oh and also, she set a record that night for the most costume changes ever, with 13! Well done, Eva!

#4 Miley Cyrus lights up the stage - literally!

Not one to shy away from controversy, Miley Cyrus took her bad girl persona a little bit too far when she allegedly smoked marijuana - on stage! - while accepting her Best Video Award back at the 2013 MTV EMAs.

You can catch the awards show LIVE on MTV Asia (Astro Channel 713) or on Astro Go beginning 3am on Monday, 13 November, but before that, we have something special lined up for you!
