If you haven't heard of James Corden's 'Carpool Karaoke', where on earth have you been?!
An original segment on The Late Late Show with James Corden
, 'Carpool Karaoke' simply features celebrities sharing a car ride with the comedian and singing along to famous hits from their personal playlists.
To make it easier, you can catch up on past episodes from the segment here
Apparently people really love watching their favourite artists singing along to their own songs in the car so much, as we all do, that it has been picked up by Apple Music and turned into a full-on series!
The official trailer for Carpool Karaoke: The Series
has finally dropped and it looks pretty awesome because it is filled with A-listers from practically every corner (fine, maybe not from our side of the world).
Among the celebrities seen jamming in the car along the streets of Los Angeles are a mix of not just singers, but also actors and athletes, including Miley Cyrus
, Jessica Alba
, Gwyneth Paltrow
, LeBron James
, and a very green-looking Ariana Grande
Since Corden, who is acting as co-creator and executive producer, will not be appearing in all of the episodes, you'll see some celebrity pairings that you wouldn't even imagine, such as Tyrese Gibson and Ludacris, Shakira and Trevor Noah, Shaquille O'Neal and John Cena, John Legend and Alicia Keys, and many more.
You can watch the army of stars grooving to James Brown's 'Get Up Off That Thing' in the trailer below:
The star-studded 16-episode series will make its debut on 8 August exclusively to Apple Music subscribers.
We can certainly expect more epic sing-along sessions and goofy shenanigans that 'Carpool Karaoke' is best at, and we can't wait for the first episode with James Corden and Will Smith!
