M'sians Reveal The Female Celeb They Would Love To Go On A Holiday With

When asked which local celebrity they would like to jet off to a vacation with, a majority of Malaysians have one name in mind. 

And no, it's not Raja Bomoh.

According to a recent survey by hotel booking site Hotels.com, the local female celeb who Malaysians would love to go on a holiday with is none other than actress Maya Karin.

The 37-year-old Pontianak Harum Sundal Malam star topped the poll with almost 34 per cent of the votes.

Coming in a close second is fellow actress Lisa Surihani while Malaysian darling Diana Danielle came in third. 

Pop star Yuna and former Bond girl Michelle Yeoh round up the top five.

Malaysia's Queen of Squash, Dato' Nicol David, also made the list, occupying the sixth spot, just above evergreen singer Sheila Majid and former beauty queen Lina Teoh.

As for male celebrities, it was a close fight between two of Malaysia's biggest actors, but in the end, Polis Evo star Shaheizy Sam came out tops with 21 per cent of the votes, narrowly edging out hunky actor Aaron Aziz.

Rounding out the top five top five are former Formula One driver Alex Yoong, Malaysia's first ever astronaut Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar and J Evolusi actor Hans Isaac.

Interestingly, Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin also made the list, coming in at the sixth spot just above former KRU member Yusry Abdul Halim and actor Awal Ashaari.


Also, according to the poll, 38 per cent of Malaysians would love to fly to Tokyo, Japan with their favourite celebrity. Meanwhile, another 31 per cent would love to go on a shopping spree in Paris and another 30 per cent would like to hang out with their favourite celeb in London. 

Only 26 per cent of Malaysians would love to take long walks on the sandy beaches of Bali.

Looks like Malaysians aren't really beach people, huh?

The survey, conducted by One Poll on behalf of Hotels.com, polled more than 8,400 adults from 28 countries.
