Local actress Sarah Lian has just been nominated for the Best Supporting Actress award at the Nice International Film Festival, just one month after winning the same award at the Los Angeles Film Awards (LAFA) and another at the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival Awards last September.

The actress announced the big news on her Instagram profile earlier today, expressing her pleasant surprise at the nomination for her role as Anna in feature film Jasmine.

Lian is up against Liza Wilk from Till Death, Laura Rigon from Somewhere over that Rainbow and Nahanni Johnstone from Yellow Fever.

Jasmine is a psychological thriller written, directed and produced by Dax Phelan. The story revolves around a Hong Kong businessman who is determined to hunt down his wife’s murderer even after the police had long closed the case.

The winner will be announced this May so let’s all wish Sarah Lian the best of luck in bagging another international award!
